Innovarpel 2023, first edition of technical event dedicated to Digitalization and Cybersecurity in oil and gas companies

  • On November 21st and 22nd at the Hilton Colon Hotel in Quito, Ecuador, Arpel organized Innovarpel 2023, a technical event focused on Digitalization and Industrial Cybersecurity in the energy industry, more specifically in the oil and gas industry.

    The two-day event brought together around 200 professionals from operating companies in the sector as well as from providers of digital solutions and industrial cybersecurity.

    In addition to four keynote lectures and three expert panels, 17 specific cases of implementing cutting-edge technologies such as IIoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Geographic Information System (GIS), digital twins, among others, were showcased.

    Innovarpel 2023 aimed primarily to share best practices, success stories, and lessons learned, with a particular focus on raising awareness about the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation. The goal was to prepare organizations and their personnel for the upcoming changes.

    The idea is that this event will be held in various countries across the region to continue supporting the evolution of digital tools and the implications of their implementation in the sector.

    The first edition of Innovarpel received support from EP Petroecuador as the host company, and sponsorship from Grupo Radical, Ancap, OCP Ecuador, SAP, Schneider Electric, SLB, Tory-Tech, Cisco, Honeywell, IST Internacional, Robalino, and Sertecpet.
